RAND TO THE RESCUE: Senate Chamber Goes Nuts After Rand Paul’s Amendment to Ban Funding China Research Passes https://trendingpolitics.com/watch-...to-ban-funding-chinese-research-passes-crugg/ On Tuesday, the Senate chamber busted out in cheers after they unanimously passed Senator Rand Paul’s amendment that banned the United States from using taxpayer money to fund gain-of-function research in China. The Daily Wire reports: “Senate Amendment 2003, which was added to the bipartisan Endless Frontier Act, bans the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and any other U.S. agency from funding any Chinese gain-of-function research, which is a form of study that attempts to render pathogens more infectious and lethal. Paul’s amendment joined another introduced by Sens. Joni Ernst (R-IA), Roger Marshall (R-KS), and Ron Johnson (R-WI) that permanently prohibits U.S. funding for the Wuhan Institute of Virology.”
Seeing that the U.S. has never funded gain-of-function research in China -- the bill is pretty meaningless.
HEHE ----Not looking too good in 2022 for the Marxist Democrat party.---- Republican wins mayoral race in majority-Hispanic McAllen, Texas https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/poli...in-majority-hispanic-mcallen-texas/ar-AAKLCC3 Preliminary election results indicate Javier Villalobos, who currently serves as a city commissioner, won 51.11% of the vote in his runoff election against Veronica Whitacre. Votes will be canvassed and certified by city officials on June 14. The race for Texas’s 15th Congressional District, which stretches from McAllen to the western suburbs of San Antonio, gave Republicans reason to celebrate quietly. Incumbent Rep. Vicente Gonzalez, a Democrat, won the district by 9 points in 2016. In 2020, the margin of his win fell to just 3 points. The pattern continued in other Texas districts. Rey Gonzalez, the Republican challenger to Democratic incumbent Rep. Filemon Vela Jr., narrowed the margin of his loss to 16 points. In the 2016 election, Gonzalez lost his race by 25 points.
More Latinos Bid ‘Adios’ to Democrats Election results in Texas show the migration to the GOP may finally be starting. https://www.wsj.com/articles/more-latinos-bid-adios-to-democrats-11623104251?mod=opinion_lead_pos8 For decades some conservatives, yours truly among them, have argued that Latino Americans, with their ethic of faith and family and work, ought to be natural Republicans. On Saturday in a South Texas city on the Mexican border, Javier Villalobos gave America a glimpse of what this future might look like when he became the first Republican elected mayor of McAllen—the 85% Latino seat of Hidalgo County. “Villalobos’ election should surprise absolutely no one who followed how counties in the Rio Grande Valley swung heavily toward Trump in the last election,” says Mike Gonzalez, a senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation and author of “The Plot to Change America: How Identity Politics Is Dividing the Land of the Free.” As Mr. Gonzalez notes, the auguries were there for anyone who cared to look. In 2016 Hillary Clinton carried Hidalgo County by 41 points. But in 2020, Joe Biden won by only 17 points. Meanwhile Zapata County—what the Washington Post calls “the bluest of blue counties along the river”—flipped for Donald Trump in 2020, the first victory for a GOP presidential candidate there since Warren G. Harding a century ago.

I think it's likely that Marxist Democrats have been cheating during presidential elections in Red States like Texas as well for a long time, but they just haven't fully coordinated their efforts there yet.
