    My source said 78% of republicans support the confederate flag and many southern states have made state laws preventing cities from removing the flag because they dont want to piss off thier racist supporters

    August 14, Nashville protesters demanded the bust of Confederate general Nathan Bedford Forrest, the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan, be removed from the capitol building. The Tennessee Historical Commission, a state agency charged with historical preservation, denied a request to remove the bust on September 1, in a 7-5 vote.
