And it's the energy sector's "rice bowl" to deny it.

(Except, reading their position statements on it, it's clear they believe it. Unless... they're all part of an even bigger conspiracy!)

  4. It was more humid than normal due to the greater than normal hurricane activity between Mexico and Hawaii...
I count no less than 14 storms that hugged the west coast of Mexico and Baja since late May per this Wikipedia page - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2015_Pacific_hurricane_season

I guess in non-El Nino years, those storms would be in the Western Pacific

Of course it is! Propaganda spewed out by the believers of AGW is at least equal to the propaganda spewed out by the non-believers. So what are the masses to do? It's like the disclaimer on an investment report......." compiled from sources believed to be accurate, however we have not independently verified......" Like investments, one has to fallow ones gut, and use common sense.

I have to be skeptical when the AGW crowd touts ..."CO2 has increased 40% since the industrial revolution!!!" I assume this is true. However when I look into it I see this is one of the best examples of not only what facts are quoted, but how they're quoted. The GW crowd states that CO2 has gone from 280 ppm to 390 ppm. , a 40% increase sure enough. What's left out is that's only an 11/100s of 1 percent and that CO2 is still a very very minute trace gas. But touting 40%...40% sounds so much more dramatic.

I have to be skeptical when the AGW crowd touts ..."Ice core samples and Tree Rings show us long term climate data that proves AGW" I've noticed that when the data supports AGW it' used over and over, when it doesn't they say we're only interested in the time from the start of the Industrial Rev. I have to be skeptical when 200 years is supposed to serve as a proxy for the climate data of a very old planet.

I have to be skeptical when the AGW crowd states ...""Average global temperatures are at their highest since records started." There are lots of evidence showing warmer temps, where do they think all that coal came from, and vineyards in England where it's too cold now.

I have to be skeptical when the AGW crowd show their carnival .."Catastrophic consequences will occur if we don't do something now" The best example of the watermelons exploiting the Chicken Little's. Scenes of cracked and parched earth, solo polar bears lost at sea, horrific storms ravaging the Gulf coast, stories of an increase in infidelity due to GW, a slight decline in the coffee crop from last year is because of GW. A cold snap is because of AGW, a rainy spring is because of AGW. They like to point out near term events like this and say it's "Global Warming" (oh wait) It's Because of "Climate Change" (but the Climate always changing...oh wait) It's because of Abrupt Climate Change (but what about this period in earths past? That doesn't count) And just for FCs benefit "Yes I know what CO2 is" and "Yes it's a green House Gas".

That brings us to the real major difference between FC and myself. It's NOT that he believes in AGW and I do not. I try very hard to research both sides of the issue, I try to sort through the propaganda spewed out from both sides. In the end I must take the position that seems to make the most since. That makes me a skeptic about AGW. I like to think of myself as a thinking man using common sense. I'm sure if FC is reading this he's once again foaming at the mouth, can't wait to tell me how I'm not a scientist, that I'm just a stupid rightwing denier. But that's just it, the real reason I pity FC is that the one thing he has proven on this site is his lack of being able to think for himself. Everything spit out from the left touting the idea of AGW is GOSPEL from on high, anything that may be seen as unconvinced of AGW is just a conspiracy of lies. He refuses to even look at anything that may show any valid reason to even remotely question his religious conviction of AGW. He seems to derive some false sense of possessing some intellect by endlessly posting the same old list of this or that....the same old charts (some getting very out of date)his endless Cut & Paste only to eventually sink into name calling, sprinkled with his adolescent potty mouth. It must be a very sad existence to go through life like that.
