thx. you are very observant indeed. perhaps, you can use this ref next time. Allude and Elude www.dailywritingtips.com/allude-and-elude/ Speakers and writers sometimes use the word elude when they mean allude. Sometimes they use allude' when they mean refer. thx much, deThommo, for your keen obs. merry christmas and happy new year to you and yours.
Good job neke. Write down and remember what you did the last few weeks. Seems like you got something. Stay discplined and the rest will take care of itself.
Weekly Update for final week 50/50 ended 12/24/2011 Impressive week, up 14K (7.7%). Made 6 discretionary trades, 5 winners and one loser. No automated trade. Surprised at the quality of opportunities presented for a normally quiet month. December has turned out to be a great month. I hope it is the start of a turn-round. Like mentioned before the emphasis is on quality and not quantity of trades, with a keen eye on the profit factor. For December in my discretionary trading, PF is 4.2 ( total gains of 42,431 vs total losses of 10,076). The benchmark for my discretionary trade is an ongoing minimum of 1.2 . For the year as a whole I am down 41%. It has been a disastrous year. Two terrible months (June - down 117K, and September - down 35K) summed up the result. I understand it is going to take some time to get back up there, but I am optimistic the changes I have put in place, with incremental sizing up on leverage, will make for a much better 2012. Will be away on vacation till mid January. Hope to be back then to start a new thread after taking out 6K for the month of December. Code: Opening Balance: 179,623 Net gain for the week 13,812 ------------------------------------------------- Net Balance: 193,435 Since Inception of Thread 01/8/2011 - 12/24/2011 Opening Balance: 335,899 Net loss (Less Margin Interest) (137,464) (Down 41%) Cash Withdrawal (5,000) ------------------------------------------------ Net Balance 193,435
