Doesn't matter to me either way, real account or a simulated one. No one is going to learn much anyway. This is like watching a zombie movie, or hearing a story of someone encountering a real zombie -- it's good for entertainment, but you are not going to become a good zombie fighter after watching a movie or hearing a story.
Unfortunately for his account I think he's for real. I imagine he's either pretty loaded or has a serious drive for gambling (or too desperate to quickly raise capital for something?). Either way, you have to at least admire the agression with which he trades. I hope it's not terminal, I reckon he can make it back with a serious review of strategy.
this site if for entertainment these days with a little bit of good info thrown in. not what it used to be .
so eh how did it used to be better? I mean..... all the forums are still there that used to be plus all the new stuff thats here now too....
yes. much better a few years ago. the content on this site does not campare whatsoever. lost many good traders over the years that used to share on this site respectfully with one another . all the negativity & attacking of each other scared many traders away. not worth the bs. continues to get worse.
No way do I admire his aggression. He has no money management rules whatsoever and money management/position sizing are the crux of the trading game. In the real world, or at least in my real world of real money trading, his drawdowns have been horrendous.
i agree with scorpion- extremely odd that someone would post "tragedy has struck" with nothing more...
Neke typically gives weekly updates every friday after the close. He said 'tragedy has struck' on tuesday. There is pressure when trying to keep a P/L blog like his going when you are on a nasty losing streak.. most people will give up with the blog at some point.. neke to his credit has kept going through this almost multi year drawdown. By making that post early, i think it will take a bit of pressure off him on Friday when he goes into all gory details of what happened on Tuesday.
Well I'm guessing tragedy in dollars has six figures around it or very close. Looking forward to hearing about Tuesday tomorrow.
I do agree, I was just trying to find something positive to say about the situation and that's about the only thing I could think of. That'll teach me to be an optimist!
