Um, did you even see the USA vs. Italy match, that was outrageous and then some. 3 Reds, 1 of which was not warranted in any way.
he should of give Ronaldo yellow card on his first dive ( what was it , after 20 second of play?). That would give a warning to the rest.
Where is SA the contrarian ? Can you tell me who do you like in finals before I place my bet ? LOL and LOL
. July 6, 2006 SouthAmerica: Reply to IV Trader and optionpro007 Sorry to disappoint you guys but I donât like either team in the final â both teams donât deserve to be there. A week ago I stopped on a dinner close to my house and the Greek fellow who is the owner of the dinner told me that in his opinion the Italians would try to fix the final because if Italy wins this world cup the scandal in the Italian league would go away. The Italian people would forgive the crooks that have been fixing all the games on the Italian league. It is an interesting theory â and I would not rule it out. Today, July 6, 2006 the Financial Times of London had an article saying that the prosecutors in Italy are seeking the relegation of Juventus, AC Milan, Lazio, and Fiorentina to Serie C, the lowest division in Italian soccer. The Italian teams think that demoting the clubs to Serie B â the leagueâs second division â would be an acceptable penalty for all the soccer fixing that has been going on in the Italian Serie A league in the last few years. Demotion to Serie C would put many of these teams out of business. (We are talking about billions of dollars in all kinds of sponsorship and television rights. We are talking about a ton of money.) A win by the Italian team on this world cup would make all the troubles to go away. What is the difference for the Italians? Fixing one more game? Why not? It is worth the risk. .
. July 7, 2006 SouthAmerica: The President of Taiwan, Chen Shui-bian, said on Thursday that his country is planning to send to Brazil a group of 20 kids for a period of 10 years for them to learn how to play soccer â for his country to be able to qualify for the 2018 world cup. He was so impressed with the world cup in Germany that he want not only to qualify Taiwan for the tournament, but he also want Taiwan to be the host country in the future. His plan is to send kids up to 10 years old â who will live in Brazil for a decade to learn how to play soccer and each kid will receive a scholarship worth US $ 10 thousand per year.
