Quote from Cicero, dated 55 B.C.,

"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work, instead of living on public assistance." ..."

I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it.'

  4. Gentlemen...................HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF.

We are going to be more of the same because those in power are always the same people in the same group. ANARCHY.

    WRONG
5000 years.... PEOPLE still haven't learned the simple fact:

if you give away responsibility for yourself to someone else (to the ruling class) they will do it for you, obviously not in your damn interest -cuz you don't care about it- but in their best interest.

    M. Friedman:

"There are four ways in which you can spend money.

You can spend your own money on yourself. When you do that, why then you
really watch out what you're doing, and you try to get the most for your
    money.

Then you can spend your own money on somebody else. For example, I buy a
birthday present for someone. Well, then I'm not so careful about the
content of the present, but I'm very careful about the cost.

Then, I can spend somebody else's money on myself. And if I spend somebody
else's money on myself, then I'm sure going to have a good lunch!

Finally, I can spend somebody else's money on somebody else. And if I spend
somebody else's money on somebody else, I'm not concerned about how much it
is, and I'm not concerned about what I get."

That 4th one is government which is why by design will never change it's ways.

  7. There is a 5th.

I create money.............I lend it to the 4th guy........he must then tax all other's to pay me.

  9. All propaganda has to be popular and has to accommodate itself to the comprehension of the least intelligent of those whom it seeks to reach.” - Hitler

"Change" because "reform" is too difficult to understand.

"He alone, who owns the youth, gains the future.” -Hitler

    He owns the youth.

“We want peace, total peace and nothing but peace, and even if we have to fight the bloodiest battle, we are going to get it.” - Hitler

Sure as h*ll sounds like something Obama would say.

We sure as hell don't remember where we came from [our history] so, we are sure to repeat the same mistakes.

  10. "In the long run we are all dead."

Who says Keynes was wrong all of the time?
