  2. The key to successful trading is to trade small.

Work on the art of the execution of the trade.

Money will follow with good execution and vanish with poor execution.

Most new traders make fatal mistakes of being greedy.

Small profits really add up. Big losses will kill you.

Making only a 6% return will double your money in 12 trades.

90% of winning in trading is discipline and money management.

    Good trading.

    :p

Couldnt agree more about money management.. the rules of compounding are if anything more important to be setup with than $/point/pip extraction... although that can be studied after the fact once someone is good at extracting.. just finished reading thinking fast and slow after seeing tro jiving about it.. pretty good read

Also I lost my bet of $1 with my buddy a week ago... I didnt think he would last this long before saying I quit

Kid, if you are/become legitimate about it... keep it up.. I saw you use some stops in there so at least your mental additude towards that is improving.. biggest thing for you... dont ever let a loser just keep going.. kill it before it kills you. Scalping 10-20s does seem your thing so no reason to stop... and also about trying futures etc after your good at this.. one word.. dont.. if your good at one vehicle and its still driving and making you money.. no reason to give it up till it turns south on you

TheMan... I found you amusing at first but really... grow up

    Cannot argue with that one

    errrrr

Damn it, i did it again.

lets be real for a second.

Let's assume i never posted any of those pictures.

    1. College would think he is the ultimate alpha male at this point. I mean the entire thing was paper.

    2. It would go on on on on and on.

    3. That would have actually hurt him later, ( not that i intended to help with posting pics) however i ended up actually helping him more than he could help himself.

    4. If college comes back and admits he was trading on paper and will post charts of his thoughts on the PA, i will analyze them with him and maybe actually put a smidge of quality on this site for the first time in a long time.

I retract that offer, too many of these ftards on this site may actually learn something.

    College,

If you would like to PM me and send me some charts with your thoughts of the PA on them i will go over some stuff via PM with you.

But you still will have to admit that you were paper trading or demo trading here in this thread.

I suggest that you take me up on this offer.

Regardless i am done posting in this thread. So if you want to just come back and start "calling trades" on paper, then by all means continue.

  10. " The trading process itself and risk management are much more crucial components to overall success in trading operations. No two successful traders select trades in exactly the same way. There is a wide range of methods used by professional traders to identify what is and is not a trading signal in their trading operations. So I am not terribly concerned if some of my interpretations are not right on. My trading success in the long run does not depend on my ability to read the charts perfectly. " -Peter Brandt..... "Diary of a Successful Commodity Trader"

Execution, Risk management, Process, Position sizing/Money Management. Eurotrasher said it very well a few posts back.
