  1. Who's your broker? IB, Mirus, Amp ?

  2. AustinP is one of the few posters actually providing anything remotely resembling content in this looney bin of a trading site, while startraitor is most likely another alias of a guy who has nothing better to do with his time than troll after him.

Hey, if it floats his boat, fine. But neither you (nor anyone else) have to pay any attention to him ... just ignore him like a bad setup and keep it mov'in.

  3. Been with Global Futures forever and a day.

Might eventually move to Mirus (seeing as how AustinP has brought them to our attention and popularized them, LOL) or maybe VCap Futures, but I wouldn't touch Interactive Brokers with Jack Hershy's trading account, LOL some more. :D

Ultimately, before I go to one of the more mainstream brokers, I'm going to have to be a lot more consistent and trading ten times the size I am now to even make it worthwhile (commision wise).

Nobody really cares about the bush leagues ...

  4. Just to clear this up.

NinjaTrader is a what is known as a third party software in the retail trading industry.

All accounts can be configured to show the commissions on the source account or to not show the commissions on the source account, it is the users option.

IOW, startraitor doesn't really know what he is talking about ... and seeing as how I've posted blotters from my NinjaTrader application on multiple occasions over time, obviously I do.

    Have a nice night everyone.

  5. Reflecting on austins contributions one cannot argue with his oratory skills in the least, body in motion stays in motion, hunting caribou, at one with nature.

I have one other handle I am not proud of, and have not used in over a year, as I have resolved to conduct myself with the utmost of civility on this site. I have failed at times to do the same under my present handle, but am doing my best to maintain a dignified discussion at present even though my original question was directed most respectfuly at austin.

Again, my post was directed at austin in respectful manner, I would appreciate the same respect in any additional questions or comments. Good trading.

  7. Thank you for your reply mandelbrotset. While I am not sure how this relates to a question posed at austin I appreciate the explanation. From what I know you have never claimed or implied to be an overall profitable trader either or are a vendor per a google search of your handle.

Again, thank you for your reply and your insight. Good trading.

  8. To bring the thread back on topic, I'd like to bring your attention to this post, as it should be the traders mantra.

    Here, I'll repeat it:

"dont think how much you can make but how much you can lose or keep"

If you stay in the game long enough, eventually you will understand why.

  9. Think you for bringing another op's thread back on topic mbs with the quote from from some inspirational poster with some guy rock climbing or staring at a chart!

Again, I look forward to Mr. Austin's reply and I appreciate your concern for the integrity of this thrad and your additional inspirational postings.

    God bless.

In sept. I made 54k. Last week (a pretty good week) I made 22k. I scalp futures professionally, I've been doing so for 2 years. I trade in an office on a dedicated line. I am backed trader which means part of those profits go to my backers...former floor traders who made the transition to the screen. In two years I'll be independent, and all that money will be mine.

I've been in this business for about 5 years total now and its a hard road. But there are those of us out there that make that kind of money. But to reiterate, its much harder and requires a lot more work than it seems when you start. To even ask the question "who's making 2k a day" implies you have a lot of work to do. I know because I asked those same questions years ago. People who I've conversed with on this board know me and know I'm not a bullshitter....Some of which I've probably been chatting with since I was slinging 1 lots on retail account. Like I said, its been a hard road.

I don't want to give out info about who I trade with, though I usually get PM's when I make a post like this. The purpose of this post is just to say, yes, there are futures scalpers out there making a lot of money and the opportunity is there for those that work for it and get with a good group. Though its very difficult, and only people that are willing to sacrifice a lot will make it. I started clerking with 9 people, all given the opportunity to trade and there are two of us left. The other guy had a 100k month last year. I will soon :) btw....I've personally traded w/ guys that have more than doubled that figure in a month as well.

The potential is out there but only a few make it....most read about trading, browse a message board and thats about it. For those that are very determined the rewards are there.

    cheers :)
