$2000 Daily...? Anyone?

Discussion in 'Trading' started by EminitraderDM, Oct 5, 2008.

  1. I sim traded for over a year before I traded a live account. I honestly don't think it should take that long to become consistently profitable.

$2,000 a day is very reasonable. Here's how:

    20 contracts on ES
    5 points average a day
    = $5,000 a day
    If you trade 200 days a year, that's $1,000,000.

Pick a simple style that works for you. Check out my blog... Feedback is welcome.

  2. Thats incredible!
By scalping, how many ticks are you talking about per trade?
I assume you don't pay the normal commission...

Yup that's why you had to quote me twice when I put you on the spot. I must have hit a nerve. You could have just a) ignored me, b) Answer simply without trying to resort to personal attacks or c) Go off with personal attacks because you are too butthurt that someone sees through your BS. I wonder why you chose (c)

Like I said, a troll (although not so clever anymore) or some insecure person seeking attention & illussion on the internet (no better place to do so).

You still did not address my main point with a reasonable logical answer. Not that I expected you to. Enjoy living out your hopeless dreams on ET, you won't be the first.

LOL, I expected a little more, thought you were a reincarnation of the many trolls who come to ET.

Guess you are a new one. Speak to you on your new alias soon.

    Thanks for the laugh.

  6. Not quite so good today (a little more than 1/2 what I made yesterday), but still alright by my standards. Total on the day, $510.00

Thanks for your post John47, you really broght the thread up a notch, and your honesty and candor are greatly appreciated.

Today I'm posting to illustrate the fact that when a market has less range, you are going to make less money. While it should be obvious to the experienced traders, it isn't to someone who is new, and that is why they will as a question based on fixed dollar terms only.

    Good trading.

  7. I don't think this applies as much (or even at all !) to guys who are scalping larger size in the e-minis.
Can anyone speak up on this ?
