I don't want advice from you. You are a jerk and I'll be happy if you stop posting in my threads. If I knew a way to block you and all your avatars, I would!
Sure why take advice from someone who is worth money and manages business and has been in trading for 20 years. Better off subscribing to anonymous service rather than free educated advice. Don't put 100% of your portfolio into a security you do not understand (best free advice you will ever get).
Click on the link of the person that you want to block and click on "Ignore" on the profile window that shows up and you won't see any of that person's posts ever.
Sadly the best advice is littered throughout this thread for free.....you can lead a horse to water...
Thanks - will that person see my posts though? I don't want assholes to see my posts, otherwise they ruin the thread, distract, hijack the conversation, drag others down, etc. Will the person blocked see my posts though? If they do, there's no point in me posting here or even visiting this forum again.
Talking of Warren, happened to see this: https://www.fool.com/investing/2018/07/27/this-favorite-warren-buffett-metric-tells-us-a-sto.aspx
You are posting on a public forum so unless other people choose to block you, you can't have your posts all become invisible to certain individual so yes they would still see all of your posts but if you blocked that person, then you wouldn't see that person's posts ever regardless how they hijack the conversation, ruin the thread, distract others or drag others down, you wouldn't see them or bothered by them so you could carry on the conversation as how you see fit. It takes two to tangle and if you have blocked somebody putting somebody on "Ignore" and basically stopped "tangling" with them, then the potential annoyance is gone. It's very effective. All public forums even chat rooms operate this way. I have only seen one chat room that allows one to block somebody to even see the blocker's posts in addition to blocking that person. To me that's an overkill and if you think about it in a real-life social setting, it's quite rude. So it's up to you if you want to leave this forum because you won't be able to block somebody else from seeing your posts. If you do leave, goodbye and good luck!
