900 horsepower does wonders when the aerodynamics kick in! That would be a blast to give a ride! Fastest I've ever gotten is on a motorcycle on the expressway in my even dumber days. I hit 145 and was starting to get some shake. Had to slow down just to make sure I hadn't filled my pants. :))
On another note one of the coolest pictures I've seen is an F1 race where it was either raining or had rained and these guys were going full tilt. The picture was of one car following another and the front car was kicking up a huge roster tail spray of water so that the guy following a couple feet behind couldn't see anything else. Thats nuts! Race speeds and not able to see anything!

  2. "Tests have shown that this car produces more g-force than the F16 jet fighter and its the fastest car on the road."

    That first claim... complete BS.

F-16: can pull 9g. That's fitted with a full load of internal fuel and weapons. Hello, GLOC! (Gravity-induced Loss of Consciousness)

    Bugatti Veyron: 1.4g at best.

    Winner: F-16. No contest.

  3. Which is an interesting point and we all know the first liar loses, but for what it's worth I had a Yamaha franchise in Seattle from '87 to '96 and took out a new FZR1000 one day. On southbound 405 right through Bellevue I hit 167mph. Bike was rock solid. At that speed you come up on things awfully quickly. The thrill just isn't the same in a car. Of course that's true no matter what the speed. Even Harley riders know that.

  4. And the road gets awfully narrow. Particularly if it's a two lane country road. Feels like you're riding down a shoelace.

Not sure why you feel the need to call me a liar. Was just sharing my experience, I'm sure plenty of others have gone faster, and was amazed at the speeds they must have hit in the video.
Well, good day to you silver,

  6. Not calling you a liar. It's just that in these forums one thing leads to another and...you know how it goes. Sorry if you took it that way.

I was expecting someone to relate how many times they had to wash their shorts after they blew through aisle 4 at Walmart doing 200mph on a Huffy...backwards.

One-up-man-ship. And I wasn't trying to one up you either. As AAA said it gets interesting the faster you go on two wheels. Or one. My days of out doing the next guy are over. You just brought back memories when you talked about doing 145 and dumber days in the same sentance. Thanks.

Cool, yea there is a bit of exaggeration on here and "oh yeah, well I made a $100,000 today" on ET. :) Take it easy

  8. There better be no potholes in front, otherwise, it can get ugly at that speed.
