    fc - the most christian way to set up a govt is a govt which give people the opportunity to work hard, save their money and improve their standard of living.

    a rising tide has historically floated the poors boats too.

    that is why the poverty line in america is middle class in many countries.

    So a a compassionate country is a country with which does not steal from its citizens via income tax.

    Every since the great society programs of the 60s our country has fallen apart.

    in my view...

    a Christian would want to see a small govt and lots of local charitable contributions and works.

  3. In realty this does work. Mixing income levels in neighborhoods.

    Your example in PR may have been miixing extremes (Very rich with very poor) which I agree is not a good idea.

    Almost all housing built in NYC requires a 20% allowance for low income units.
