I'm not saying that the USA is a saint who never did something wrong. They did and they do. A lot.

But I'm pretty sure Volodymyr Zelenskyy and everyone in Ukraine would beg to differ from your characterization. And there is no doubt at all that Russia is worse. The Ukraine topic is just not the place to discuss what USA did wrong in history, because they do a lot of good for Ukraine to help them defend themselves. Russia on the other hand is the aggressor, the invader, mass murdering, committing war crimes and a genocide. Anyone trying to distract from any of this by pointing at the US is doing this for political reasons only, and nothing else.

I don't really disagree completely with any of it. But among the dominant powers like China, India, Russia, I'd pick US every time. Nepotism isn't that bad in the US in comparison, I've lived in a few different countries and seen how vile it can be, US cannot compete in nepotism.
But I'd like to ask again, are you European, American?

    I am European.

I always wonder why the US is always compared with places like China, Russia, Venezuela. Literally all the time. As if a fair comparison with nations like Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany, France, or Canada is somewhat feared.

Because it's Russia and China who criticise US the loudest but not because they're better or different, they just want the US position in the world militarily and economically. Russia is just like an average girl looking at America, who is prettier and more popular, criticising everything about her with angry jealousy.

I can appreciate that notion, however, critical questions towards American hegemony by those hailing from more developed nations are often times countered by angry or frustrated responses as well. I wonder why, if the US is such a great and awesome society and does such miraculous work in the world.

Because Germany, Switzerland, Japan et al will not help you if you are attacked. And if they do, that help will be minuscule.

When "we" are attacked? By whom? By your invisible virtual monster that you paint on every wall? Those monsters only exist in your brain to cause you to sink another couple trillions into your military complex, all financed by tax payer dollars. The rest of the developed world does not share your anxieties and fears.
