Wow..they shut the bank in Sanderson down! I'm from Texas, and have been to that area...right on the border basically. Sanderson is maybe 900 people, surrounded by rocky scrub ranchland....must've been some folks defaulting on their $1700 per acre hunting ranches. Ha ha....1 cow per 100 acres out in that country...real value is $50 an acre max....but suprising none the less. Haven't been there in a while, but I think one of only two banks in town.....and for about 90 miles either direction.
