I gave up trading the SOX and NASD yesterday.. When they don't follow the futures (or make opposite moves) it is simply frustrating to sit thru. Look at yesterday's QLGC and KLAC, and you will see how frustrating stocks are getting these days. I definitely threw in the towel, and went back to by buddy ES. I wasn't able to get more then 5 ticks out of the ES this morning...
I have been sticking to my bread and butter plays and that seems to work fine. If I go out of these plays, I lose more often that not. So for me knowing what works and have the discipline to stay with it is the key. So what if the day is stuck in a range, there are stuff that still go down or up enough for u to trade. U just have to know where to look.
