  1. I'm not sure what to think about this. If using a hidden camera was all he did, I don't think it was that much of a big deal. But he did deserve to lose his job.

Disgraced: Dr Nikita Levy killed himself after his secret taping of patients was revealed

More than 2,000 women have come forward to say they could be victims of a respected Johns Hopkins University gynecologist who was fired after hospital officials caught him videotaping exams with a camera disguised as a pen.

Dr Nikita Levy, who killed himself at his suburban Baltimore home on February 18, recorded private exams with unknown numbers of patients at the East Baltimore Medical Center.

Police set up a hotline to help identify Levy's former patients so they could determine who had been victims of his convert pictures and videos.

    Thousands of women responded.

Officers and victim's advocates fear that the some of the patients will not seek the medical treatment they need after learning that their move private, intimate moments with a doctor had been recorded without their permission, CBS Baltimore reports.

Many of the victims who came forward to Baltimore police were referred to a local non-profit for counseling.

'A lot of those women are really struggling. They feel betrayed. They feel confused,' Gail Reid, the director of the counseling agency, told the TV station.

Worse, some lawyers are reportedly advising their clients not to attend counseling - in the hopes that it will bolster their civil case against the hospital.
Already, hundreds of Levy's patients have filed paperwork for a class-action lawsuit against Johns Hopkins.

Levy was one of the most well-respected gynecologists and obstetricians at in the Johns Hopkins University Hospital system.
Many former patients said he came highly recommended by nurses and other patients.

However, a female colleague at East Baltimore Medical Center reported Levy to security when she became suspicious of his attachment to a pen he wore around his neck.

Another nurse reported that he always demanded one-on-one private time with patients.

When security questioned him, they discovered he owned several covert video cameras that were designed to look like pens.

He was fired and the devices were confiscated. Later police seized computer servers and hard drives.

Less than two weeks after his dismissal, Levy suffocated himself to death by putting a plastic bag over his head and filling it with helium.

In his suicide not to his wife, he apologized and said he didn't want to put her through the criminal investigations that would ensue.

  2. Hmm he certainly knew how to finish himself off himself in a swift way.

A suicide bag, also known as an exit bag, is a device consisting of a large plastic bag with a drawcord used to commit suicide. It is usually used in conjunction with an inert gas like helium or nitrogen, which prevents the panic, sense of suffocation and struggling during unconsciousness (the hypercapnic alarm response) usually caused by the deprivation of oxygen in the presence of carbon dioxide. Right-to-die groups recommend this form of suicide as certain, fast, and painless, according to a 2007 study

My last prostate exam was performed by a young tall Asian female nurse practitioner. So I got that going for me, which is nice.

Nooooo! You didn't. Females don't do prostrate exams. At least none that your insurance will pay for.

Did you keep saying, "It's higher, higher?"
