@trading_jean And it gave me a lot of pleasure to take the time to write knowing somebody besides me was reading it! And you guys kept me on my toes, that is for sure.
Here in the UK it is only by reading accounts from Americans like yourself that other countries find out how Covid is really affecting the USA. Be careful and good luck and see you soon Theo.
can i give an alternate story? you got caught fading the market again, blew your account, and now need an excuse to bail out before returning again. Sort of like this: https://www.elitetrader.com/et/threads/micro-e-mini-madness-2-per-day.335221/page-62#post-4959005 I mean the reason i'm putting that out as a possibility is because you essentially cutting off a potential income stream (looked like you were consistent before this job/work issue). Why not just continue to trade it and at least earn few hundred here and there. But instead, you're going to close this journal out, and then be "back in a month or two"? Is that how quickly that real estate market going to bounce? sorry man, i don't buy this sob story. people can hate me, but whatever. I love the hate.
@hilmy83 Nope. It's all legit. I even had to get a 3-month home mortgage forbearance. And you are right; the way things are looking in real estate, it may take 6 months or 12 or 18 before I have funds to seriously try again. "Seriously" meaning $2k to $4k. Perhaps I will "dabble" with micros before then, but something interesting happened at about the $6k mark in my account. I could actually envision real income from trading, and it was empowering. And I was no longer "trading scared." No way did I want to give that up.
I've been following the thread, interesting reading. Where is he on his stated target? Its so possible for him to be one of the few Rock Stars and make $2,000 in to $200,000.00!
I made it from $2k to just over $6k at about 2% per day average before pulling my funds due to significant financial hardship. I want to be that rockstar. LOL. But it will have to wait a bit.
Thank Goodness your backing off trading when dealing with life's crap! The worst thing that happened to me was trading when my life went straight to hell. Your very wise to know your limits, wish you the best!
I honestly can't make any sense of (a) why you abandoned your thriving e-mini scalping for real estate brokerage that is in comatose, and (b) why you fancy defending your title/designation of being a real estate broker more than maintaining the steady progress in your compounding the $2K into about $6K income within just 60 days? Don't you think that your e-mini scalping prowess has more potentials of sustaining anybody at this trying period than real estate brokerage that is almost in comatose? Why didn't you continue e-mini scalping with your last known $6K balance, deploying your best skill and attention solely to earning just your monthly basics while preserving your seed money? I really wanna see you back in your trading best soonest.
