Well just be aware, in real estate you only have to deal with local competition. Trading the most competitive market in the world you have to deal with world class talent equipped with the best algos colocated at the exchange. Unless well capitalised, i would never advise trading as an endeavour to anyone.
Sorry I called you poppy when it is really poopy. And BTW: no one cares how you do. I was just trying to be cordial. (You can look that up if you need to.)
So well said. If someone came to me and asked me if they should try trading, I would honestly say "Run away and don't look back" for all the reasons you mention. Did you guys see this? Online Trader Academy is being investigated. https://www.ftc.gov/news-events/blo...s-online-trading-academys-money-making-claims " Just 3% of people who responded claimed to be making “a lot of money,” 31% reported making “a little money,” and 66% said they were making no money at all." Sounds about normal to me. If I didn't have such a thick head, I would have moved on a long time ago...
You’re some sock puppet blowing another sock puppet. Yawn. You asked. I am the only trade on this board that have shown screenshots of legit size. You are a six post piker.
Hey! Today is my one month anniversary for this journal. Time to call a truce. Let's start fresh tomorrow and all trade a little bit better going forward.
I have no problem with you... 2% is absurd on actual size. It simply doesn't take any additional effort to be transparent with PNL. You're now posting your blotter which is all that anyone wants to see and is all I asked to see. I know a guy who did 15% per week, every week, for three years or so in 1st gen path-dependent exotics. He started with $12K or so. He's worth 200-300 million EUR. It's not possible to make 2% per day on average in futures on any significant size (anything over $100K let's say).
He's not trading the most competitive market in the world although I do get your point. I believe LIBOR is the most competitive market in the world. Always, best to keep your day job or whatever along with other diversification if someone wants to venture into trading regardless if its daytrading, swingtrading or long term trading to minimize the risk of ruin. wrbtrader
The only PNL that cannot be faked is one that shows PNL along with quotes and an account number approximating real-time. Typically this would involve taking a phone pic of your front-end and uploading it immediately to a thread or a video host (YT, vimeo, etc). The quotes (or news) would match the time stamp of the post within seconds/minutes. I've used that exact process due to the numbers involved. I don't think it's necessary for sstheo to go to those lengths due to the numbers he's dealing with here.
Exotic options/vol. He still trades with Deutsche and UBS, I believe. He's semi-retired due to psych-issues, (Asperger's and OCDs) and well... he obv doesn't need the money. German who resides in Wannsee and Monaco.
