Thanks for watching out for me. Of course I won't do it. Growing this thing safely is the whole point of this journal.

Hehe, the point I am trying to make is when having that thinking in the back of your mind, the whole "If it were the mini it would be 10X more", we tend to forget that it will also be 10X less on the downside, and that can really trip up our trading process.

Take it from someone who has been there, done that. It's a horrible loop of psychology.

WELL SAID. I will strike these words from my vocabulary: "If it had been an E-mini..."

Hi @TommyR. Are you talking about my old journal? I think it is still there on ET. Even my older-older journal on that other website that starts with "F" and ends with ".io" Or maybe you are not talking about me at all?

Why did you have a panic attack? I am a bit confused (more than normal). ;)

So Elite2 choked trying to make 1.8%? It's a tall order for sure. And 2 years ago, I don't think I could have done it. And even with my current style, it is still only trading on probabilities. And with all the "headline risk" out there, every day (recently) I actually feel lucky when I get close to the finish line!

Elite1 should not have pushed on another trader to get a higher ROI. That is like sacred stuff, messing with someone's trading style!

Why aren’t you trading some proprietary money ? I see you have a 3K bankroll when you could make that amount of money in a day with 2% daily return. Trade a month for them, take 50K home and be your own boss. Nope ?

    3000*1.02^253=((150000*1.02^79)-168000)*0.8

What you could earn in 253 days with 3K at 2% daily,
You could earn it in 80 days with a 150K TsT for exemple.

Thanks for the vote of confidence. I hope I can keep it up.

I haven't reached out to anyone and no one has come to me yet to trade for them. If you know of anyone, I'd be open to talk. Where would someone go to say "let me trade your money"?

I have been funded by OneUp/MES more than once, but broke one of their strict rules each time and got kicked out.

Candidly, my successful run here (and my last one recorded in my older journal) are of a short duration. I think most people would want a longer track record.

    Indeed.

I’ve edited my post and was thinking about prop firms such as you’ve talked about. Sure they have rules and it might get too strict for the trader’s growth ... that’s a problem.

Guess the minimum track record is one year, especially one like 2008, a tough one being better but everyone has his own opinion.

    Keep up the good work,
Wish you to keep growing !

I got my statement tonight and had a net profit of $99 today. I took about 20 trades again. My average net gain was about 10 ticks on MNQ/MYM/M2k or $5.00.

First trade of Wednesday. Let's see how it goes. This is a 3 tick range bar line chart.

    upload_2020-2-12_5-50-37.png

Trade rationale: Near double top with yesterday's highs. Went up all night, and near the 7:30 am ET reversal time. We have lots of room before we get to the 50 SMA. In the 3rd wave up, and we often stall out after 3 waves.

Risk control: Auto stop from Multicharts used. It is a simple stop loss strategy set at $20 for MES which is 4 points or 16 ticks @$1.25 per tick.

Target: Really loose with my targets. Let's see how it plays out. But would love to get down to the 50 sma and the rising trendline.

Concern: We are in a small range and I entered short near the bottom of that range. This may be my undoing.

    Update1. Not looking good
Update2. -$12.50 it's obvious I got in at exactly the wrong time on this trade!
    Update3. -$15.00
    Update4. -$16.25
    Update5. -$12.50
    Update6. -$17.50
