1st Job - Propritary Trader???

  1. Isn;t that the truth? It is a useless major. I would advise anyone to NOT WASTE ONE DIME on a Finance degree. What the hell are you going to do with it?





    ****I am a finance major and everything I learned in college was garbage and a waste of money.

  2. I am in a very similar position

    I have been offered a position at the CBOT

    Its at USA trading ( a division of Man)

    They don't ask you to put any money in.
    They train you for 6 weeks and after that you "go live"
    Initially you trade 20 contracts at a time. (mostly t-bills but you have the choice of trading commodities like gold later)

    They raise the amount of contracts you can trade as time goes on. Is this a good offer?

  3. Take the job, if you're interested in trading.
    A risk manager will always be hovering nearby, more than likely via computer monitoring your trades (the "risk manager" may be a program). You will get to trade more if you show that you're successful.
