He had a compounded growth rate of more than 30% for 3 decades. Many of those years were triple digit years. He was a badass risk taker and very aggressive trader. Most people do not know his trading/risk-taking persona.

Of course the things he did to thwart the nazi's in Hungary , also as a child, are not mentioned in this ridiculous video. George Soros is not only one of our most public intellectuals but also, arguably, the single most important individual philanthropist in the world today, if measured by the impact he has had on individual lives and world affairs. As just one of many examples of the impact he has had, he was directly responsible, at not a little risk to his own safety, for restoring the water supply to the city of Sarajevo when their water had been cut off toward the end of the longest siege of a city in the history of modern warfare.
