19" wide screen in portrait mode?

Discussion in 'Hardware' started by Jayford, Mar 4, 2007.

  1. I am thinking of adding a 19" wide screen to my system which I wish to operate in portrait mode. Is this done via the monitor itself, or somewhere in windows?

I know how to manage multiple monitors as to resolution, adding monitors, etc, but I cannot find an option to run a specific monitor in portrait mode.

    Thanks for any pointers,

    Jay

Gateway does it via there EzTune software. It's a good idea to think about.

I originally ran 6 21 inch CRT's then got smart and went to 4 21 inch Gateway wide screens and flipped them to portrait.

I saved a ton of space and personally love the new set-up over the old.

If you watch Ebay a guy sells them for $250 a piece every once in awhile.

  3. I just sold my 19 wides for 165 a pc and grabbed some 20 wides for 200 a pop.

  4. they usually give software with monitors which pivot, I am using something called pivot pro and it came with samsungs syncmasters 19s long time ago..
