Thanks for all your input into this thread wareco and everyone else. Much appreciated. Also the powerseller on eBay selling the monitor stands thanks you too for helping run up the price on his auction. :D BTW does anyone know who sells these monitors in the real world so I could look at one? I was going to buy a Viewsonic LCD which actually ended up on sale at CompUSA a few weeks ago but it wasn't bright enough for me.
Also the onrebate.com site is down right now. Hmmm.

No I'm talkng about somewhere I can actually see it in the real world before buying it. Like BestBuy or Curcuit City, etc. Thanks, gnome. You've made a lot of useful posts. :)

I don't think they are a big enough name to be carried by the big retailers. The primary attraction is the current $120 rebate, so it's $120 AR.

I figured I could find a use for it no matter what at that price... and I'm using it as my primary monitor for now.

Do you guys know if there are any other sites besides onrebate.com to get a quicker rebate. Not sure how long their site will be down.

Was just looking up more info on onrebate.com and found this which is not a glowing report. http://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/ripoff149417.htm
I see now that you must use them to get the rebate. How'd that go? Did anyone here have a problem? How long did it take? thx. :)

I've been using double 19" Viewsonics for 2 years (now about 175 at Fry's) Anybody using large widescreens or double widescreens? seems they have gotten much cheaper.

i use onrebate.com for years without single problem. receive dozens rebates. i did not read info from link you posted, but 99% sure that guys is messed up something and then cry about it. their system is completely automated and if you follow instructions exactly-there is should be no problem at all. it's a bit complicated,but-leaves less room for error.tigerdirect is fine too.
