It's simple really. Bigotry is overt generalization of a group of people based on race (this can mean nationality), creed, or sexual orientation. A racist policy then, is any punitive policy that relies on such overt generalization, rather than on the individual.

There is no evidence that the shooter in El Paso was brainwashed by the Internet. He claims in his manifesto that his opinion was formed based on his real life observations living in El Paso. Multicultural violence existed LONG before the Internet.

the tech companies should really start lobbying for gun control, because the gun control lobby sure is lobbying for social media control.

 

Decriminalizing border crossings and offering citizenship to undocumented immigrants is the same thing as open borders. You're essentially telling anyone that wants to come here that they can stay as long as they find a way across the border. Laws don't work if the benefits for breaking them far outweigh the penalties for getting caught.

I'm all for allowing children to stay with their parents in detention centers, but I believe we have laws preventing this.

Stripping citizens of their guns is always a prelude to stripping citizens of their rights of free speech. Always. Both in England & France today, "hate speech" laws have been introduced to arrest and prosecute people for anything that politicians don't want criticized.

Consider the free citizens of England & France right now. Both were disarmed by their governments. Did that guarantee safety? In London, there's an epidemic of stabbings. In France, weekly riots. Governments can't guarantee safety. They can make sure you're defenseless.
