  1. Feel free to post some backtest results (don't forget to make allowances for clocks going back/forward), let's have a look and see if it makes money overall, there's nothing to suggest it doesn't.

The point is it's probably no better or worse for entries than any other strategy, but like any system it would be useful to try and determine the best way to manage trades once in them.

For a simple automated strategy I think it's got potential....

  2. Was there any entry on the 8 a.m. EUR/USD?
It seemed the close of the 8:15 did not meet the criteria.

  3. Not yet, no. I've got >88 or <58, looks like it's a long in a minute though!

Something that might be interesting which I noticed on Gbp/Usd but would apply to all pairs, it might be best not to take a close if it comes right on data. ie on Gbp/Usd 8am the entries were >48 <18 and the close right as data came out at 9.15 (close of the 9am) was 59 so a buy, but price sprung back after the little spike up. The 'real' entry which came at 10am (close of the 9.45) at 54 was good for +20

  4. It was....and it was stopped out so +40 yesterday across both sessions.

This morning Eur/Usd, Gbp/Usd, and Usd/Jpy were all good for 20 pips each.

How about this for another idea, if the first ones work out then don't bother with the US open ones?

Hey Pippi, how's that backtest coming along?

    :)

  7. Young'uns. I'll be 45 in a couple months.
And when I WAS going to bed at 2:00, I was in no shape to trade.
Anyway, tried a reversal on AUD/USD, we'll see.
    Manually trailing..
