One CAR is fine as long as your entry time is within 30 seconds or so of when we call the trade. You could even use a simulator if you could find one that would report your fills on a statement like PDF. That way you could participate if you had no trading account yet. Hi. Lol.. The last contest we held, we actually GUARANTEED you'll make money on the calls and if you lost you'd be compensated for your loss. Unfortunately with Alex's new license and venture, we are legally not allowed to gaurantee profits without pissing off the NFA. Let me just say that we have never had a losing month on PureTick so if you did lose then hell may soon freeze over. Geoff
I wrote it, Geoff. Not Alex so he's still good In any event ...I'm not superstitious. That's only for fools. I don't play poker and change seats randomally 5 times during the game or use good luck trinkets. We make our own luck. That one is easy. Answered it in the other tread (you or someone? ) started called "Why do good traders run other businesses". But in short, same reason while Daniel Negreanu, Tiger Words, Cindy Crawford and tons of other rich famous people have a few businesses. Multiple income streams. I also own a mutual fund, 401, web hosting company. If the world goes crazy and the market becomes too wacky to trade, I won't have put all my eggs in one basket. It's also nice to run a business, build it and see it grow. I work from home and like to take on new things. Alex trades heavy size as he has been doing this since 1970. I have only been doing it a few years. I move my size up as I feel comfortable doing so. Also, its sooo much more easy to trade when you have other sources of income. If someone asked me to write a book on my trading experiences, I'd be a fool to decline yet another source of capital. Geoff ===== aka Cajun Sniper Trader/Administrator http://PureTick.com
For the same reason I saw a commercial for Scottrade, the guy flying a helicopter and telling the world how great it is. For the same reason Budweiser has Clydesdales. For the same reason that Lewis Borsellino ran TeachTrade for a while and at the time he was running thousands of contracts per day in the S+P pit. For the same reason I get this solicitation in the mail every day: Larry Levin's Nightly Newsletter & Trading Signals Confidence Dear Alex, blah blah blah Linda Raschke was one of the world class traders featured in The Market Wizard book series. Called one of the top traders, why did she charge $10,000 to mentor traders? They are all scam artists? Sounds to me like people who tell you that are disgruntled losers trying to justify why they can't make it in the world. And R. Raskolnikov, since you seemed sincerely interested in a real answer I will confess. BIG EGO. Sure I get a couple dozen or so idiots (99% who have never spent a couple of months in the room to learn anything) who will hurl toilet mouth comments, but I get many times more current and former students who have stuff like this to say: A sample of comments just received in the room today: 16:10:36 {prospero:Jackie} Alex, thanks...you are great...really appreciate the room! 15:30:33 {prospero:Bacuda} Alex nice trading day.. 15:30:44 {prospero:Bacuda} and a monday too 15:26:45 {prospero:2_Short_Anointed_to_Trade<EN>} +18 15:26:54 {prosperoersistent_Green_Bastard_Ayal<EN>} 6+ 15:26:56 {prosperoersistent_Green_Bastard_Ayal<EN>} 14+ 15:26:56 {prospero:hitter} filled 12 When I see that stuff, don't you think it elevates my ego just a tad. Think about it. An asshole like pollochikcen trader says "You only trade on a paper account. Nobody can trade for real. And where is your audited CPA track record?" Then real paying clients who are forking over $299.00 per month telling me they are experiencing the best trading of their lives. Who would you believe R. Raskolnikov if you were running a business? Detractors who do not put a dime in your pocket; an idiot like elpollo trader who says "You are jinxed now" (after 30 years of success he better not hold his breath), or good paying clients who trust and believe you? I think the answer is pretty simple to all but a few losers. And I say losers respectfully. I REALLY DO. It is the non client losers who have made my business grow. And who do you think take the other side of the trades I call? The losers. I don't beat the winners, only the losers---this is a predatory business---trading. Successfully, Alex L. I guess if you find it worth the headache of putting up with losers who have no discipline and those who hurl threats and whatnot at you at ET and it adds to your bottom line enough that you have deemed it worthwhile, then you've answered my question in full. Thank you. Regards, RR
Is this the thread where it's okay to take a dump and shovel it down Alex's throat while Geoff licks the pieces that drop on the Alex's shoes?
The mentioned traders have a profitable track record with real $$, YOU DON'T Your ONLY track record consists of a 0.82 % loss in april The ONLY reason you are running a room with fake calls is because you can´t turn a profit in a real account 0.82 % LOSS in april www.profitnavigation.com Alex, How much did you lose in May ?
