How in the world did he get approved????

Is it common for someone to be able to qualify for that high of a loan ammount on such a small income?

My wife and I have a combined income of $180k and have a $289k mortgage and I feel like that is about as high as I would be comfortable with.

I just can't imagine buying a $700k house with a low income. That take a lot of balls, IMO.
