Give me a break... you're too stupid to use a search engine, let alone speak for "the collective wisdom the worlds historical scholars." Have your mommy find it for you after she changes your diaper.
Obviously Christianity per se had nothing to do with it. That smell in your nostrils is straw, from the strawman you raised. Europeans never needed any real excuse to go after the Jews. Poland had the largest population because they'd been thrown out of every other country, and the only ones in the West that would take them as refugees were the Netherlands and England. Some wound up by accident in France, Italy, and Germany, but the vast vast majority went to points East, which for 90% of them meant Poland, simply because Poland was always being traded off between Germany and Russia, so there wasn't any real way to throw them out of a country that didn't really have much control over where its borders would end up on any given day. All of this is common knowledge to anyone who knows anything about European history, by the way, so please, don't even try your usual BS. Anne Frank was from the Netherlands. We already know about England, I trust.
Allow me to qualify the above: Christian Europeans never needed any real excuse to go after the Jews. That by the way of course applies to the majority. There were always some folks willing to fight the power, but the history of continental Europe is proof enough that they were never able to do much more than slow down the haters. Kind of like ET that way.
No, YOU raised the strawman because you couldn't answer any of my questions. As usual you're totally full of shit.
Your questions were irrelevant, as there was nothing in anything I wrote that suggested Christianity as a religion is hostile to Jews. Obviously, it's not. European Christians, on the other hand, had a very very long and bloody history of persecution against the Jews. First and foremost, it has to do with fighting over scarce resources, which in Europe's case meant land, which Jews were forbidden to own. Another way of looking at the history is that prosperous countries, England and the Netherlands, didn't feel threatened at all by having Jews among their population. Poorer countries did. That's pretty much how it always works when it comes to hate, right down to the level of the individual.
You've got to be kidding. First you wrote this and... even after I responded that Christianity was no more responsible for the Holocaust than Sara Palin was for the shootings in Arizona, you still claimed it was: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3065856#post3065856
That isn't the same thing as saying Christianity as a religion is anti-Jewish. The Minutemen act as border vigilantes in the name of the US. To say I disagree with them would be an understatement. There ain't a damn thing in the US Constitution or Declaration of Independence that has anything to do with what the Minutemen are doing, but if you're a Mexican headed to LA for work and some Minuteman puts a gun to your head, are you going to argue that point with him or do exactly what he tells you to do?
Keep repeating the same lie and maybe you'll believe it. You might have gotten away with playing semantics had you stopped after writing this: six million were killed less than two generations ago in the name of your Christian religion But after I called you on it by saying that Christianity was no more responsible for the Holocaust than Sara Palin was for the shootings in Arizona, you still maintained it was: http://www.elitetrader.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=3065856#post3065856 If Christianity as a religion isn't antisemitic, it can't be responsible for the Holocaust yet you still claim it is.
