who would pay $120,000 for a picture of greenspan? http://cgi.ebay.com/CNBC-Greenspan-...387003557QQcategoryZ20135QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
I bid on it... free 10 sec advertisement for my Corporation on CNBC and all the other business media all around. I am sure everyone is doing just the same.
Just heard about it on CNBC yet again... "the bid is now $120,000.." You know, the funny thing is.. it is going a LOT higher. Its going to >$500,000 most likely. Not only was Alan Greenspan one of the greatest Fed Chairman, the publicity of it at the end would be worth even more. If I had a $1 million advertisement budget, then I would go all out on it. They would invite me to CNBC, me wearing my corporate logo.. Talking it up with Maria, Liz, and Henna and all...
What's to say the last bidder wins the bid but does not pay for it? That happens all the time on ebay.
I hope the winning corporation uses their legitimate Ebay ID, as I would like to see what else they've been bidding on, their feedback etc...
I am not sure it works that way. After all, it is still a piece of art and where the money goes is not the buyer's concern...
