  2. LOL. Why do you think property tax is unique to the United States? It isn't. Not to mention that there are plenty of states with very low property taxes...

  3. If you're talking about the taxes that fund the pay and benefits of people like Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid (and their stupid ideas), I can't think of a bigger waste of money.

    But our friends in Europe aren't far behind. For example, look at the trading tax they want and what they'd do with it:

    [French President] Sarkozy joined U.K. Prime Minister Gordon Brown and German Chancellor Angela Merkel in supporting a tax on trades. In Europe, the money raised could be used to fund climate measures or aid for poor nations, Sarkozy said. He leads the world’s fifth-largest economy.

  4. IF the USA is 85.3, and the 3 illustrative US states are all higher, would be curious where the cheapest place is (no sales tax, no income tax - Dakotas? Wyoming? Other?)

    coupled also with cost of living, which does not even register...
