I thought it was assumed. We all know porn is even bigger than HDTVs. Seriously though, CC is a major force in online retailing, with 75%+ as much traffic as Best Buy, or more than most department stores.
you seem like you already bought both CC and AMD and are trying to convince yourself that you made a smart decision. the smartest decision for you to make would be to sell and limit your losses in those 2 pieces of garbage and move on.
That list doesn't even include online retailers such as Amazon.com The only retailer with a strong online presence in that list is Walmart. Circuit city does have strong growth in their online sales segment but they're still a small fish in that game.
I don't seem like I did; I did. And I listed my entry price in the first post. I convinced myself to go long before I entered my positions. I haven't changed my mind. Your welcome difference of opinion is what makes a market.
today i bought both amd@6.16 and emc @16.46 ...both for spec plays...emc is way oversold and owns most of vmw....amd has done the crazy 5-40 trip for the 18 yrs i have been watching it-a total insane rollercoaster...at this price its an option without expiration unless it goes bk!!
No, buy them as an investment and have your patience rewarded. These are not short term trades. I made money shorting CC at $19, so, that was my trade on that particular equity. Now I'm long term long at entry of $3.84. Same thing with AMD. I was short AMD at $22, and now I'm long for the precise reason dsg just stated.
AMD at $6 reminds me of DELL at 18 years back before it ran higher, now all tech is coming down. We might see stocks such as dell, csco, intc in the teens.....
i think the tech sell off is a bit much..earnings will be ok and they are coming up soon...i think tech will rally this week...
I think markets are headed to 52 week lows. im bearish but have bought some longs on this dip for any kind of relief rally the market gets.
