Nice call BLB. Seeing AAPL stall out today, amongst other things, gave me the courage to finally put out an NQ short ahead of Mr Softie's call. Was pleased to see that you were of like mind, and then to see MSFT's earnings Have been lurking following your journal, one of the only ones that I check, thanks for posting it. Is your system mechanical or discretionary? My guess would be discretionary as it seems you may have been forcing trades the last few weeks as the market has chopped, still, impressive results nevertheless.
Well, the model that I'm running spits out some cold hard numbers which indicate what to expect, on average, over the next week. What I DO with this indication is purely discretionary, but I don't make a habit of trading against the numbers. As for 'forcing', I'm going to respectfully differ on this point - the lack of volatility on my equity curve over the last month is a testament to my restraint (or plain old indecision) during this period. I've continued to make trades, but have scaled back on size. This will most likely continue to be the modus operandi until we exit the chop. Thanks for asking.
