Simple stop losses of any kind (limit, market, etc) are neither TA or FA, unless they are based on TA or FA factors. Fact.
ok fair enough anyway please allow me to say is a surprising thing that they work beating buy and hold in such a years long span(aka with different market conditions)
I guess you’re thinking what I’m thinking. Calling everyone here buffoons is exactly what MG would do And so it goes
%% Congrats on getting the worst last\ but unless you are WB or Joel Greenblatt, value will most likely disappoint you. Most all the many charts of value vs growth i see in IBD; growth wins almost always .............................................................................
No one has failed to do well investing in the U S with a nice selection of stocks over any thirty year period. Most people would be wise to contribute to their 401k on a regular basis, year after year, decade after decade. For self-directed retirement accounts I suggest buying Berkshire Hathaway and telling your family and friends that Warren Buffett works for you! If you are a young guy, I suggest pressing Market and Max on a 401k month after month, decade after decade. I know plenty of common folk who retired multimillionaires doing this. If you set up a self-directed account, buying Berkshire Hathaway and telling your friends that Warren Buffett works for you is a good idea. The U.S. stock market has done well enough over all thirty to forty year periods. The next thirty years? The U.S. has a lot going for it.
Only thing wrong with that approach is old Warren is facing his "options" expiration in the next so many years. Maybe the new guard he has in place does comparably? Maybe? Past performance is not ..........
The new guard is far beyond qualified and loaded with integrity. Though of course low cost ETF 's fit the bill. I could not resist the joke about telling people Warren Buffett Buffett works for you, but as to future results: I would be on Warren if he lived 1,000 years.. this guy knows how to win! Warren is a learning machine who was sharp enough to go bring on board two young guns who are as sharp as diamonds.
No, I was comparing the cons of strategies, and I was showing that value investing is better than crypto, because Value Investing's downfalls are far less than those of crypto, for example, and therefore you should do value or macro investing, not TA or crypto. Perhaps I could have worded this troll post better. Quite fitting that the bait-eater has a Jim Cramer profile pic.
