Its clear the states can force this. Either the Obama regime will produce a long form certificate of live birth or they will be left off the ballot. So, lets see the birth certificate! The real question is "what happens when it is discovered that Barrack Obama was never eligible to serve as President?". Does it mean that legislation that he signed into law is illegitimate? I sure hope so.
It's not that easy. If the state of Hawaii says that the "Certificate of Live Birth" is a legal document and other states don't accept it, then Hawaii will go to a Federal Court and will probably win. There's a long history of federal legal precedent supporting Hawaii's right to determine such matters.
The Full Faith and Credit clause of the Constitution requires states to recognize official documents from other states. That might well seal the birth certificate issue. It wouldn't resolve other questions, like whether he took up indonesian citizenship or applied to college as a foreigner or traveled on a foreign passport.
The form Obama presented doesn't have a embossed state seal nor a signature. From others I've seen an offical document has both. Some states are going to require the long form showing the birth hospital and doctors signature. Those are available from Hawaii.
Full faith and credit is a red herring. Courts are not stupid... they ask for evidence and proof. If a person is drinking underage, he can't just produce a driver's license from out of state wth an incorrect birthdate on it and say the court has to accept it as proof he is 21. The Prosecutor does an investigation, she may even subpoena the original records or have certified copies made. Courts have rules of evidence. One of the bedrocks of evidence - is submitting the the best evidence or original info. its the same as if the trial were in HI. You can walk in with your fake birth certificate and the prosecutor can proffer the original B.C. which one do you think the trier of fact gives more weight to?
