10 Reasons You Should Never Have a Religion

  1. Carlin has no knowledge of this:

Best to listen to his comedy routines as pure entertainment instead of gospel

BTW - his arguments against God are sophomoric and easily dismissed in a Philosophy 101 class at any institution of higher learning

  2. I am amused by the people who know how bad or weakminded people are who go to church or are religous. Perhaps they could give us the "Why they are here?" without resorting to hand waving and speculation.

Perhaps they should review the roles of many of the great scientists of the 1600-1800s and see why they had faith.

Perhaps they can turn these clever opinions which is based obviously (half of them used to be on drugs? waiting for proof on this) on sheer speculation:

===> to explain the Cosmos, without resorting to 11-dimensions http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M-theory and multiple universes (multiverses) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multiverse that cannot be seen or explained or probably ever proven. These are the current best offered by Cosmology. They basically have to be believed.

  5. Funny you should say that. I do, as of last night!

You made a good point. I'm human, and there are certain individuals here whose idiocy is like a car wreck for me - I just can't look away.

  6. why would you give any weight to what people believed in the 1600s? the body of scientific knowledge that forever ended all of the "god did it" explainations has only be around for less than 100 years.

The irony of discussing this topic is the time after time on ET those who deny the existence of God - keep making the same mental mistakes.

You do not defeat the possibility of a Creator of the universe by arguing against a religions particular view of God.

Prove there is no Creator. Science has not dog in that hunt. Science only begins a fraction of a second after the big bang. That first fraction of the second is beyond science. Yet alone what came "before".

I can prove there is no God.
    Now, you prove I can't.

There's the irony .It's that dimwitted mental mistake you keep making.
