There is already massive gun regulation in the US. More regulation will do nothing except make law abiding citizens into victims of crime due to inability to possess firearms. In this country, there is a constitutional right to bear arms and if more folks were are armed you would see these shootings and crime drop dramatically.

Reader-----what this miscreant is suggesting then is to ban all firearms including pistols. That's what you can glean from his ridiculous posting. By the way, a lot more crimes are committed with pistols than any other firearm yet they try to hide behind a ban on "assault weapons". ----A knife by they way is an "assault weapon" as was a car in Charlottesville. ---Ban everything is what he is saying.

Right now, the sign on a door to a business that says "gun free zone" actually puts the customers and employees at greater risk of being a victim of gun violence as the only one armed will be the gunman who comes in to cause mayhem.

That is not what I am saying and fully autonomic weapons are not banned, just very heavily regulated with very tough penalties if caught illegally possessing one.

You said"Wrong----people who shouldn't have guns can get them regardless of any policy",.Fully autonomic weapon policy proves that is not true

  6. no need to ban anything, let's put the same level of scrutiny and regulations on firearms as we have on cars.
pistols will get to be treated same as the "C" class driver license and assault rifles the same as a commercial license. mandatory renewals every 5 years and mandatory tests every 10 years. comprehensive insurance for every gun owner. and ...

This is definitely the dumbest thing I read today, Mr. Constitutional Scholar.

In a weird way I understand the argument of arming more people because guns are so out of control i. America that we should have a fighting chance to save our lives. but the idea that it will reduce gun violence is the most poorly thought out argument I’ve ever seen on this forum.

Does more cake reduce diabetes or more salt reduce high blood pressure? Do more crayons make kids less likely to draw on walls?

Here is what you need to understand @Buy1Sell2 and @TreeFrogTrader you guys are arguing gun laws in 2019 should apply to the gun levels of the 1960s. There are too many guns in America to allow for such little regulation without major consequences. Whether it’s mass shootings or street shootings or domestic violence shootings or suicides — more guns increases all of it.

I don’t know why you would lie to yourselves. If you’re ok with the death and the injury then that’s who you are, evil, just like the nra.

Stupid argument. 1. We are no longer subjugated and taxes without representation and 2. You can take out 20 or 30 innocent people with your AR-15 but it won’t help with flying robots that can drop bombs on you from the sky.

  10. No need to ban anything? LOL

Sure there is. Assault rifles and all handguns should be banned.

Murderers couldn't care less about the laws or regulations.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2017_Las_Vegas_shooting

Between September 25 and October 1—the day of the shooting—he stockpiled an arsenal of weapons, associated equipment and ammunition that included fourteen AR-15 rifles (all of which were equipped with bump stocks and twelve of which had 100-round magazines), eight AR-10 rifles, a bolt-action rifle, and a revolver. A bump stock modifies a semi-automatic weapon so that it can shoot in rapid succession, mimicking automatic fire.[3]

He killed 58 people and wounded 422, with the ensuing panic bringing the injury total to 851.
