Sure, put up a snapshot of your computer display which shows the ES chart (you chose the fractal) and the DOM (with a wall showing preferably).

Is that too much to ask??

  3. Thanks, Seedy. I'll let you test it. I'll stick to no-brainer NQ trades.

  5. of course its deceiving, its not meant for you to look at it on the surface and know what to do. Use your head a little.

  6. Personally, I use the DOM and it works for me. I dont focus on bids/offers, I focus on the tempo with which bids/offers are moving up and down. Given the proper context, its movement makes good sense to me.

Think of a defensive end in football, trying to time the cadence of the quarterback. If hes too soon, he'll be offsides, if he's late, chances are he'll miss making a play. But if he learns the rhythm of the QB, he can get a quick move off the line for a sack. Same thing with the DOM, learn its rhythm and you can jump in right before the mkt makes a move.

  7. can you use DOM on the YM?

  8. using DOM for the ES or YM is assuming that those that placed the orders are 'experts' in knowing where the market is going...not so good, could be 'joe newbie' out there and totally wrong...not so good...

  9. Whoa, you sound like the one assuming that the DOM is ONLY used to see placed orders. I told you specifically that I dont use it for such and find the DOM very valuable. Ebb and flow of price action is seen here, in its purest form.

  10. Hi ST,

You are very skilled if you can put the DOM to work to your advantage.
I put a lot of time into it at one stage and in the end gave it away as it was pulling me away from watching price action.

    I must be getting old.
