1 and 2 unit option contracts - lots and lots

I do options on individual stocks. Just today I rediscovered options time and sale data. I was take by the preponderance of 1 and 2 unit contracts.

Who are the people writing these contracts?

 

retail investors and bigger orders that get split and partially filled in 1's and 2's.

 

The 4 million Robinhood users.

 

For October 8, 2018, 55% of all trades were 1 and 2 lot, all Public Customers against Market Makers.

Takes for all the replies. I wish that last couple of days I had only been doing 1's and 2's.
