allowed ??? Wouldn't you want to know exactly what's being reported and have it exactly the same everywhere?
The death rate is many magnitudes lower due to no testing. Millions more Americans have had the virus. The numerator. Death rate. Stays the same. Therefore the % death rate falls dramatically. Real simple. Death rate % = total number of deaths / positive cases No testing means denominator is artificially low. Making the death rate % artificially high. That's why they won't institute mass testing. To keep the fear and hype alive. Simple math. Fractions.
Control the numbers = control the narrative Fear = control. Fear = control. Fear = control. Keep the fear alive >>>. Institute social controls. Real simple.
Why are you trying to change the conversation? This was your statement: "In the U.S., only deaths in "confirmed" cases are being reported " This is patently false. Now, to answer your question, I would want to know what is being reported and I would want that to be the same everywhere. I would also want it to be counted accurately. It is not.
To be fair, We’re trying to capture all of the Covid deaths we can. States are counting suspected deaths but I’m not sure they are showing up in the Johns Hopkins totals - which the nation recognizes as the official tracker. Of note, we’re learning from Italy that it’s about a multiple of about 1.5 of confirmed deaths. The testing issue is a shame on our federal government. Even today there are multiple different tests requiring multiple different machines, swabs and reagents, and any break in that chain stops the whole system. It is ultimately Trumps fault, as he is the leader of the federal government. He should have been quarterbacking this since January. I know I am inviting a bunch of mindless criticism from his fans on this but it’s true and we should always speak truth.
Ok this guy gets it. Its so simple. Math is pesky that way. If you don't know the number of infected at a moment in time in relation to the number of deaths at that moment in time you cannot calculate any realistic mortality rate. I can't understand why anyone has trouble with this. How the fuck do they balance their checkbooks?
How to calculate the mortality rate during an outbreak https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/coronavirus-death-rate/#correct
Over a 20% antibody rate in NYC... Current population of NYC 8.8 million 8,800,000 x .2 = 1,760,000 Current NYC deaths 10,977 10,977/1,760,000= 0.0067 Preliminary mortality rate of Covid in NYC is 0.7% ***these numbers are based quick google searches. I don’t know if those deaths include presumed/assumed Covid deaths or not.***
