  1. You can buy a tent for 50 bucks at walmart. Theres your housing taken care of right there.

That doesnt do anything. You just have a cleaner city...it doesnt produce anything though. As for the families with children that want to stay in the city...Well what they should do is all the farmers that are growing cotton will then send it to some government factories in the city, where the people will make fabrics, produce clothes, diapers, bedsheets, and whatever else cotton is used to make. Maybe they could even make tents for the farmers to sleep in! The trick is to get people producing. We desperately need our manufacturing industry revived and this is one way to do it.

  3. Department of Homeland Sanitation?

Think of the new jobs created by the administration and bureaucracy alone.

Unfortunately, for these 1.2 Million people/families. We can't save them anymore. Time ran out. Our leader(s) wasted too much time blaming and finger pointing. Maybe if the National Healthcare package got passed these people can be training in the healthcare industry or something similar.

Or how about this, since we nationalized the banks, these unemployed people should be working in the banking industry. However stupid they are, we'll let the corrupt smarten them up.

Yes, I know this idea does not make any sense, but as long as we don't extend the already extended benefits, we can keep true socialism in check.

The govt/financial/industrial complex allowed bubbles to form to benefit financial interests and jobs to be outsourced to benefit the corporations.
Corporations, as abstract entities, have little problem and practically unlimited flexibility in eliminating workers.
What flexibility does an “eliminated” worker have? Can he easily eliminate a family member? Can he downsize his house, eliminate a few rooms maybe? - not so easily.
A few months of unemployment insurance is not the issue.

  10. Thank you! A rational person does exist!

Nobody seems to remember that a little over a year ago just about every bank in the US was insolvent and were "bailed out" on the backs of the very people whose jobs they so easily eliminate.

Why is it socialism when we help an unemployed individual but somehow its capitalism when you help a bankrupt financial institution by GIVING them billions of taxpayer funds and then let them borrow billions more at ZERO percent interest.
