  1. hey ES pros...I really believe (as I am sure you do) that anyone with enough study can get AT LEAST 1 ES point per day...do you all agree?...anybody doing at least this?...meaning 1 ES point per day...thanks!

The answer is no. You have to ask yourself how much you are risking to make that 1 point. Most of the time you will be recovering an earlier loss rather than making your "1 point". Reread my post and joebonds ....

I am not a pro but I am happy to get 10 ES points / month .... but average about 5 points. The key is consistency.

  4. I believe the statement was ' at least one point', not 'only one point'

To set a goal of 'only 4 ticks (one point)' would be silly thinking in my book.

I currently trade Asian and European markets and accumulating grab stake to trade ES full time.

For those who trade ES full time. How much slippage do you get on 100 lots a clip? I am talking trading during regular hours and staying out when news come out. Please respond to this question if you trade this size.

    Thanks,

You can usually trade 100 with no slippage. Just now, I see 2800 contracts bid and 1040 offered. A few minutes later, about 500 each on both the bid and offer.

Same answer, you are just raising the stakes. Most days you will be recovering an earlier loss. It all comes down to whether you have an edge or not.

  8. I bet it only does so 50% of the cases. The other 50% it will bounce from your stop and, since you took it head on, will eat another point from your profits.

If you can prove that after a pattern drawback through a certain level (your stop) it will continue in more 60+% of the cases I would trade that setup, and forget the original one.

  10. Hey all,
WOW!...look at this...the least risky emini to trade is the...)drum roll please  )...the NQ emini Nasdaq...let me explain...I am basing this off the ATR average true range per day and potential loss of 1 contract traded per day...
    Okay here we go:

MOST RISKY: ER2...ATR is 10.67 and (greatest)loss would be $1,067

VERY RISKY: ES...ATR is 11.63 and (greatest) loss would be $581.50

RISKY: YM...ATR is 98 and (greatest) loss would be $490.00

LEAST RISKY: NQ...ATR is 21.39 and (greatest) loss would be $427.80

...we'll very interesting...what do you think?....very surprising...yes, very surprising...I would really take this to heart as you are beginning to trade emini's...of course this is my opinion...what do all of you think???
