Hey guys, Brief update. Specialist prescribed me HCG 3 times a week and testosterone depot once a week. Looks like I'm a lifer ;P Happy to be under appropriate care. Seems to be working. Nothing crazy, but no longer require the blue pill half the time. Which is night and day for me. So very happy.
I wear Nike skateboarding shoes when I work out, mainly because the rubber on the bottom is softer than other shoes I've tried in the past. The soft rubber seems to grip better and prevents my feet from slipping off when I'm doing standing calf raises on the edge of a raised platform. http://store.nike.com/us/en_us/pd/sb-free-nano-skateboarding-shoe/pid-10739820/pgid-11402050
I don't know enough about the various types of sports shoes to make a recommendation, but I can tell you what I prefer. Over the years, I've worn cross-trainers, tennis shoes and running shoes in the gym. Of those, I prefer a good, simple running shoe. Baron mentioned skateboarding shoes because of the superior grip for calf raises. I don't know how running shoes compare to skateboarding shoes when it comes to grip, but it is in part because of calf raises that I prefer running shoes over the alternatives that I have tried. Running shoes bend easiest at the ball of the foot compared to other sports shoes I've owned, and so I think this feature gives me unfettered movement during the exercise. Also, I imagine that running shoes are the most appropriate for the treadmill, with which I have since parted company.
All else being equal (workout and dietary regimen), has it noticeably affected your body composition?
Haven't even been in the gym the last several months. So can't comment on that aspect. I did lose 30 pounds in ten weeks though. Cut 300-500 calories a day. Down from about a 39 inch waist to a 34 now. Although I definitely have lost some muscle. Time to lean out since Im on this for awhile.
if you went down 5inches waist w/o working out at same time you lose. a lot more muscle tissue than you should have. and, losing muscle tissue is not a not big deal. thats a serious loss (of muscle)you may never make up.
It's not a huge deal. I'm blessed in that department. The muscle comes back pretty quick. Although, the doc did caution me to get my butt back in the gym to preserve what I have. 100mg once a week
