  2. i prefer rational thought over mysticism and science over delusion. That's what seems to work over the centuries while those who follow eastern thought are still trying to levitate and read charts.

when I was a born again Christian, I read a book by Francis Schaeffer called "How Then Should We Live?" That's where I got most of my world information in the 70's and still cling to today. It studies how reform protestant thought travelled through out the world. It is obvious the higher standard of living in the west compared to the east. The question we are left with today, "Does thought lead standard of living?" or "Does standard of living lead thought?"

Not many deists left today in countries with a high standard of living. But I doubt you will find many atheists in emerging markets.

otherwise, his observation was where the protestent reformation really took hold the standard of living improved dramatically, and usually peacfully

I'm over how thought affects trading, but I'm still interested in how it affects standard of living, and if you trade for a living, same thing.

  4. Interesting. I saw Francis Schaefer right before he died. They had to wheel him out on the stage and his son did most of the talking, His idea on how the JudeoChristian ethic is the backbone of the rise of the west is right on. Obviously, thought leads to standard of living--- thinking about this the other way around leads to many false beliefs including those evident in chart reading and other forms of divination .

Of course you're not interested in "eastern thought". It's not intended for people like you. If people like you were to show any interest in it, that would be their first step away from being somebody like you.

  6. Word has it that marketsurfer tried meditation once, using "me" as a mantra. Then he took a selfie.

So Judeo-Christan thought leads to prosperity and non-Judeo-Christian leads to SLA-AMT? Wouldn't it be accurate to say that the Judeo-Christan thought itself is based on some form of divination?

Romans didn't have the Judeo-Christian ethic, neither did the Babylonians, the Egyptians, the Indians, or the Chinese. Empires and people prosper when they work harder and save, while debt and extravagance lead to despondency and stagnation. The West still had the same Judo-Christain ethic when it descended into the dark ages for centuries. Thought does show the path to prosperity, but only when it is followed up by action and irrespective of religion. Ottomans, Greeks, Vikings, Westeroesians, all prospered without Jedeo-Christian thought.

forget Judeo, Christian is the only religion that has a "forgiveness" component, and that is why Japan and Germany are still alive on this Memorial Day.

  10. The proof is in the pudding. The western empire
Causality and rationality are the building blocks of empirical science which is base of the western empire. Christianty is how causality and rationality traveled from the greeks to the west.

Are u really comparing viking culture to the growth of the west?

price action traders don't get the first thing about proper testing and the scientific method when evaluating trading ideas. Its all based on mysticism that the past foretells the future. Then doublespeak that u are not predicting everytime you place a directional trade.

Therefore they turn to the mind games of eastern thought and suspend reality, surpress the self and other nonsense to deal with their losses Too bad.
