So what is this... Full circle or only phase 2 of a multi phase content creation drama? Who are these guys anyway and who gives two shits about any of them? From the lives of the blue bloods, to the lives of the magnates, to the lives of Hollywood stars, to the lives of the athletes, to the lives or the rock stars, to the lives of the quirky people with quirky jobs, to the lives of the desperate to be famous, now to the lives of the YouTube content creators.... Wtf.
Exactly my thoughts when I hear an unknown name gives opinion on something: 1. Who the fuck are they? 2. Why should I give a shit what they say? And the answer is always: 1. Nobody. 2. No reason.
LOL, one of the YouTubers, MeetKevin, tried to run for governor of California and barely made a ripple. Most of these YouTubers content creators are making mad coin doing financial YouTube videos. I have to say I mostly stopped watching regular broadcast/cable TV and now prefer going to YouTube to get the latest news. The appeal of these guys is that they can get you the latest news much more quickly than other platforms. Especially the investigative guys, they bought news of the latest crypto debacles way faster and more comprehensively than other outlets.
LMAO !!! Do you know how much time does it take to make, edit, save and upload a video to YouTube ?! Check the relative volume if you want news before the majority. The market is the only source worth listening to. Youtube is for entertainment only.
Yes I do know how quickly it takes. I'm AMAZED at how quickly MeetKevin can do ONE take summaries WITHIN his longer live sessions. But I also do know how long it takes for QUALITY videos to make. Lots of YouTubers bemoan the amount of time that it takes to build quality videos. Viewers aren't dumb, crap quality videos will be ignored as they are not impactful. You should get pass your personal bias about old style ways of doing things and try to objectively view the new modes of information sharing. "Market" or regular news outlets can shovel crap as well. YouTube just like Twitter is about information dissemination. But sometimes people want something that's a bit deeper than a quick paragraph. That's where YouTubers can provide more clarity and their opinions. OP's video shows the check/balance that YouTubers provide to provide counterpoints.
That's it Youtube is old style. Go to tiktok. We agree. For up to date information about a ticker I go to twitter. For entertainment I go to Youtube. Anyway ...
Glib responses like the tiktok comment just shows your ignorance. Trying to compare tiktok with YouTube. There is a reason why most broadcast/cable shows now have a presence on YouTube. I can get my quick take on important news items by narrowing on the YouTube CNBC news bit about a specific news item rather having to stick around for the hour long show. Much more efficient. Plus I can bypass the advertisement and speed up (1.5x) the replay. Really give YouTube a try. You will be amazed at how good the quality can be. YouTube revenue is paying content creators handsomely for quality content which is why the competition to make content gets stronger every day.
I think YT is good for analysis, not for news. Analyzing something doesn't take more than talking about it for 15-20 minutes, one take, no editing. Quick upload. There are lots of good content on YT, but news is not what I look for. Reddit is where I get "there is a live shooting by my house" up to the minutes news.
