I leave it open until end of June so you can decide when you like to enter any performance number. But for me I stopped trading for the month of June because I already achieved +45% net profit on my hedge fund account. On my personal account I am already up +90% this month while I could achieve +200% net profit for May. Let's see how it goes for the full month as I want to continue trading on my personal account.
Big numbers but absolute % performance by itself isn't that meaningful. It sounds like you might be taking a huge amount of risk.
Only on personal account I take higher risks because this is intended to compound faster. But no on hedge fund account I cannot take excessive risks. I just had no drawdown since start of June and some almost perfect timings. And then I compounded too on gains, but this is limited as margins are high so leverage cannot be that high. Without my perfect entries and exits of some very good trades it would not be that good for June. And how much did you make so far ?
You could be a very skilled trader then. What is your maximum drawdown in last 5 years? I voted ">0%". I don't think what we do is really comparable. I am targeting a few % return per month and maxDD < 5%.
%% I did wonder if your last name was Krieger. Super forex trader I can gross 100% every week on copper + stainless steel......sales, never buys, but its limited market ,[the way i do it] + not much volume.NET profit can be great but a bit less Sounds like frankly you need some more work, since you disclose you stopped trading ''JUNE'' I stopped trading for years/ first 29 minutes or so [not counting resting orders, which are not put in @ that time, but maybe hit then] .But i do some more[non market ] work then. Almost always making 44%+ SUCH= MEANS RISKING 44% LOSS ; but certain exceptions apply. That cash metals business is not much risk; but i think i will wait to june is over to give more info . I could honestly check the 100% realized [cash metals business ]box, but combined with my market average profit its not that hi, realized gain, so far in June.
Hopefully I will be able to change my vote towards the end of June but so far June has not been a good month for me and this year is really not my year so far.
Especially when the "hedge fund account" the OP is bragging about is now, after two months of gains, still in the low four figure range.
