Colombia put most of its revolutionary movement to pasture the past few years. It's booming, corruption needs help by improving institutions. Nicaragua, others are quite fixable. European countries are learning the same lesson, they have to focus on African national quality of life or lose the resources to China and Russia / BRICS. I have lived in "shithole" Africa and South/Central America and it's really nice, if you can afford AC, they just need a better life to stay put.
