I have been following these ETFs for a while. Does anyone here trade or own these? Rarely have heard anyone talking about these new investment vehicles.
If you need the money from dividends then they're decent but if you're looking for the best total return, you're better off with the underlying stock/etf. Do a "total return" comparison and you'll see that the underlying usually does better than the high yield ETF. During a downturn in the market the high yield ETFs will usually outperform but during a strong move higher they'll underperform. Use a comparison tool as the one below and check the "total return". https://seekingalpha.com/comparison...mpare=QQQ,QQQY&interval=1M&metric=totalReturn ***Better to use a different comparison tool though as this one limits stocks/etfs if you don't have a paid account.
I just bought some TSLY, it's down and figure if it continues to downtrend or flatten out it should do okay. Plus picking up a monthly dividend of nearly a dollar a month to me is quite astonishing. Bought just a small amount to see how it rides out by end of 2024.
TSLY has a trailing yield of >70%. SQY has only been out for 3 months and its yield is ~19% in 3 months. NVDY has roughly 3%/month dividend. NFLY has roughly 3.5%/month dividend. MRNY has 2 dividend payments of 15% pretty amazing. MRNA has boon super volatile for a long time.
