With Yen mortgages in Japan at less then 1% for 35 years, it seems like there should be a huge market in the US for this, but I've rarely heard of it. In the UK, it seems Barclays will give you a pure yen mortgage at 1.9% interest only with 35% down. I've also heard other places like Australia where you can get a yen mortgage, but I've found nothing in the US. Anyone know of a bank in the US that does these types of mortgages?
