DeJoria: Obama may lack business sense to help middle class http://www.cnbc.com/id/100921428 This guy sounds like he has his heart in the right place. How good a president would he make?
it would always be good to have someone who was successful at real life in the big office. if they just inherited the billion i wouldn't feel the same- but anyone who managed to make that much has to have at least a grain of business sense which washington shows time and time again it has none of.
Presidents and their administrations come and go, but the bureaucracy is always there, doing the real work of the government. The bureaucracy runs the government no matter who's in office. Change the bureaucracy, you'll literally change the world... However, to change the bureaucracy, you'll have to cut their budgets and fire thousands in each department. Since that isn't going to happen, real, significant change isn't going to happen. And since the bureaucracy hasn't changed much since the 1930s (except growing much larger and sticking its tentacles into the far reaches of our lives), it's proof that running for US President is just an ego-trip. So go vote for the airbag that talks the best, says all the right things, and successfully hid/explained the skeletons his his closet. But remember, he's in it for the "supposed" power, prestige, and perks. He's not in it to upset the status quo, shake up the world, fix the broken things, or just plain "do the right thing".
A poor person would NOT make a good president. middle-class? nah..... upper middle-class? sure. well, at least more good than bad. rich. yes. this is AMERICA....we cannot have other countries looking at us as poor. money = power. for 11 trillion you can buy the best military and take over the world!!!! haha. now get out there and make millions.
Obama is not out to help the middle class. He is out to destroy it. The billionaire would first need to get past the leftist media. Otherwise, he would just be blowing his money.
I just want to see a prez who didn't have a previous relative who was prez (not counting the current marxist). Had enough of them lately. Of course, if we get Hilda, we'll get both.
I think it was at the begining of Bloombergs (NYC) 2nd term he had one of his deputy mayors find way to improve productivity, efficiency, etc. The results? Every cut, every improvement etc was against the law. There was nothing that anyone could do.
